THE GATHERING To Perform At Holland's LIVEXS AWARDS Today
February 11, 2007Female-fronted Dutch art-rock act THE GATHERING has issued the following update:
"As you know, THE GATHERING has won the LiveXS award 2006 for Oustanding Achievement with about 20 percent of the vote in an open category. They were also nominated as Best Dutch Live Act 2006 and Best Dutch Album 2006 with 'Home' [so they might get more awards!]
"To celebrate this, the band will play one song during the LiveXS Awards ceremony that takes place at the Paradiso in Amsterdam on Sunday, [February] 11th. The doors open at 4:30 p.m."
As previously reported, a video clip of THE GATHERING performing the song "Waking Hours" at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, Holland on September 19, 2006 has been posted online at Google Video. The complete live show is still available for streaming at Fabchannel.com.
THE GATHERING recently returned to the road in Europe after they had to cancel the first month of their European "Homelands" tour back in April due to vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen suffering an obstinate bronchial and sinus infection.
THE GATHERING released its latest album, "Home", in April on The End Records.
